Michael "Dunigan" DeAngelis

Mike was raised in Delmar, NY (Albany area) and met his  longtime Musical Partner (John Haggerty- The Porters/Hair of the Dog/Get  Up Jack) in 6th grade while playing together in their Parish "Folk  Mass".  Mike really started consistent gigging in 1980, while attending  the University of New Hampshire and out on Cape Cod during the summers.   He was the lead singer in Upstate NY's Celtic/Folk bands, "Hair of the  Dog" & "Get Up Jack" from 1990-2017 (plenty of band and solo  videos/MP3's on Youtube & Spotify).  During that time his bands took  fans on 11 Ireland Tours, played numerous Irish Festivals and opened  for the likes of The Clancy Brothers, The Wolfetones, Tommy Makem, Black  47, Great Big Sea & Eileen Ivers, just to name a few.  Mike and his  wife Suzie moved to Cape Cod shortly after his retirement from  Teaching/Coaching in Upstate NY.  While on the Cape, Mike continued to  perform solo as well as with Irish Fiddler Rose Clancy.  In the Fall of  2023, Mike and Suzie moved to Florida to be more accessible to family  and enjoy the great weather.  He now concentrates on playing music  full-time at Pubs/Restaurants/Resorts and Senior Residences.  You'll be  happy to know that Mike's Mom's Maiden name was "Dunigan", so don't let  the Italian last name alarm you.  Make sure to bring your requests when  he plays at Nolan's!
